Ronnie Arthur, 50, of Alexander passed away Monday, April 18, 2011.
He was born June 2, 1960, in Benton.
Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. His most cherished times were spent outdoors hunting, fishing and boating on Lake Ouachita with his family and friends. He was a long-time member of Ten Mile Hunting Club in Lonsdale. Ronnie was a striper guide on Lake Ouachita for Captain Bud’s Striper Guide Service and had recently started working for CoorsTek in Benton. He was a member of Grape Chapel Church in Benton.
He was preceded in death by his step father, Herbert Keene.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 19 years, Leighann Kirtley Arthur; son, Chase Arthur; mother Eva Keene; one sister, Pat Mesa and husband Candy; one brother, Larry Arthur; two step brothers, Charles Keene and wife Melanie and Tony Keene and wife Diane; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North in Alexander, call 455-1067. Burial will follow in Kentucky Cemetery on Hwy 5 in Benton.
Pallbearers are Trey Heath, Jon Cox, Kent Cormier, Jason Neeley, Randy Yates and Dale Yates. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Harlan and Harvey Yates.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
