Roy Lional Leland Jr.

Roy Lional Leland Jr. 86 of Alexander, formerly of Lonoke, passed away on Aug. 5, 2011.
Roy was born May 30, 1925, to the late LeRoy and Vivian Leland in Los Angeles, Calif.  He was a member of First Assembly of God in Benton. 
Mr. Leland was a true Christian man and loved sharing the gospel with others. He taught Sunday School at Zimmerman’s Nursing Home for more than 38 years.
Roy was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Oleta Mae Leland; his parents; his twin brother, Ray Edward Leland; a great-grandson, Tyler Scott Ables; and his best friend, John Ledbetter.
Mr. Leland is survived by one son, Roy Leland III and wife Susan; six daughters, Becky Burton and husband David, Linda Bynum and husband Raymond, Sandy Ables and husband Lynn, Denise Granger and husband Ken, Carla Ward and husband Donald, and Patti Jones and husband Hugh; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and another on the way; and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
