Ruby Mae Rickard Suttle

Ruby Mae Rickard Suttle was born May 4, 1929, in Paron to Lillie Lee and Joseph Houston Rickard and entered her eternal rest May 13, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She married John C. Suttle on Oct. 4, 1944, and is survived by her sons, James W. Suttle, Anthony R. Suttle and Walter E. Suttle; and his wife, Connie.
She is also survived by one grandson, Wessley Albert Suttle.
Ruby was preceded in death by husband John; her brothers, Zollie and Andrew Rickard; and her sister, Elzada Lakin.
Ruby worked as a supervisor at the Del City Water Department until she retired and then opened a western wear shop, The Suttle Place, with her husband in Del City.
Throughout her life, she successfully raised three sons, was a member of the Order of the Amaranth and Eastern Star, participated in square dancing with the Cowboy Hall of Fame Square Dancers, and encouraged her husband as he ran for and served as a councilman for the city of Del City.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Ford Funeral Services Candlewood Chapel in Midwest City, Okla. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Okemah, Okla.
