Ruth Ashley

Ruth Ashley, 86, of Benton, died Sunday, Jan. 22.  She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Flemingsburg, Ky., to the late Claude and Eunice (Gordon) Mark. Ruth was a member of Jessieville Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Ashley; four sons, Samuel, Dave, Russell and Glen Coburn; three brothers, Johnny, Cecil and Kenneth Mark; and one sister, Helen Phillips.
She is survived by her sons R.C. Coburn and wife Jamie of Little Rock, Johnny Thompson of Conway, Mike Thompson and wife Lisa of Salem; daughters Pat Nash and Jodye Harrison and husband Roy, all of Bauxite; Missy Long and husband Michael of Hot Springs; brother, Jack Mark and wife Betty; sister Mary Lou Bates and husband Dean, all of Fairfield, Ill.; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Caruth Village Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Valentine officiating.  Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Caruth Village Funeral Home. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
