Saline River running high, fast

April 5, 2013

Recent rainfall has left Saline River water levels higher — and faster — than the annual average, according to data from the U.S. Geological Survey. The level usually sits at about 5 feet at the end of March and beginning of April, and today the water level is at 7.61 feet. Last weekend, it topped out at almost 11 feet. Although Saline County is seeing a reprieve from the rain today and through the weekend, more storms are predicted for next week.
