Teen arrested in Jacksonville fatal shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a teenager in connection with a fatal shooting at an ATM in Jacksonville.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1bTx9E1 ) that police arrested 19-year-old Lerome Deshawn Kelley on suspicion of capital murder and aggravated robbery. Police say Kelley is accused in the death of 23-year-old Marcus Israel, who was shot Friday during an attempted holdup at an ATM in Jacksonville.

Police say Israel died Saturday morning at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.

Police say Kelley was arrested Sunday after witnesses gave a detailed description of the shooter. Kelley is being held without bail in the Pulaski County jail pending an initial court appearance. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
