Theodore ‘Big Bear’ Sky-Eagle Sr.

Theodore “Big Bear” Sky-Eagle Sr. passed away April 23, 2011, in Little Rock.
Ted was born Jan. 27, 1932, to William Ambrose Sky-Eagle and Louretta May Hill Sky-Eagle. He was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. He was also a licensed minister with the Pentecostal Church of God. Ted was also a member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Allen Sky-Eagle; four brothers; and eight sisters.
Ted is survived by his wife, Lois Marie Farrow Sky-Eagle; two sons, Theodore Sky-Eagle Jr. and Robert Daniel Sky-Eagle; four daughters, Georgia Marie Wafer, Louretta Lee Eidt, Cheryl Sue Wafer and Patricia Diann Sky-Eagle Reedy; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Matthews, Scotty Nalley and O.D. Crabtree officiating.
Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Summit Cemetery in Benton.
Pallbearers are Robert Sky-Eagle, Cody Sky-Eagle, Ken Oswalt, Claude Gibbs, Larry Farrow and Bob Farrow.
