UPDATE ON WATER MAIN BREAK: Crews are finishing repair at Hicks/Alcoa Road

October 15, 2013

FROM BENTON UTILITIES:
Crews are still on scene at Alcoa/Hicks Road intersection making the needed repair to the water main. The latest update from the scene: They have almost completed putting the line back together. They have a load of b-stone to backfill and secure the line in place with all of the rain, and then they will start bringing the pressure back up along with opening fire hydrants up to flush the lines in the area to remove air. They should start bringing the pressure back in about one hour, if things go well.
