Wayne Dale Graddy

Wayne Dale Graddy, 85, of Benton passed away Saturday, Dec. 15.  He was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Morganton. 
Mr. Graddy served in the U.S. Army and was chief of the Springhill Fire Department for more than 20 years.  He was a carpenter and a member of the Highway Church of Christ in Benton. 
Mr. Graddy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mattie Pearl Graddy; a brother, Ralph Graddy; and two sisters, Ruby Cullum and Laveda Haltom.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary McMurry Graddy of Benton; two sons, Mark Graddy and wife Debbie of Mabelvale and Robert Graddy and wife Leah of Benton; a stepson, Rick McMurry of Denver, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Garcia of Maui, Hawaii; two brothers, Ray Graddy of Benton and James Graddy of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Hazel Flaxa of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lois Morgan of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren, Cody Graddy, Kelsey Bradshaw, Zach Graddy and Emma Graddy; and one great-granddaughter, Avery Bradshaw.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Ashby Funeral Home. It will be preceded by visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. 
Memorials may be made to the Highway Church of Christ in Benton.
