WEATHER NOTICE: Heat on the increase

Special Weather Statement for Saline County:
Hot and humid conditions expected across a large portion of Arkansas today with afternoon high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s across the state and a moist air mass in place.
Heat index readings will meet or exceed 105 in many locations. The areas most susceptible to these high heat indices will be in the Arkansas River Valley and over the Delta Region. For the remainder of the area, heat indices are expected to top the century mark for several hours this afternoon. Be sure to use caution if you plan on being outdoors for an extended period of time today.
Today will be the hottest day of the week with lower temperatures and drier expected to sweep in behind a cold front that will move through the state on Friday.
