William 'Bill' R. Ward

William “Bill” R. Ward, 73, of Benton passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.
He was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Waldron and Susie Ward.
He was a manufacturing representative for John Stacks Agency for many years and then became owner of Surplus Sales in Benton.  He was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley Ward; a son, William Bryan Ward; two daughters, Karen S. Witham and Joyce West; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Ashby Funeral Home.
