Christine G. Bell

Christine G. Bell, 76, of Benton passed away November 19, 2014 in Little Rock. She was born on June 17, 1938 in Vilonia; and she was the daughter of William Mose Barnard and Mary LeNore Covell.
Mrs. Bell was a manager for Red Cross and Central Arkansas Development Council for eight years.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Betty, Bonnie and Bill; and a daughter, Ruth Mary.

Dorothy G. Patterson

Mrs. Dorothy G. Patterson, 91, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014. She was born Sept. 12, 1923, in Illiopolis, Ill., to the late Jesse and Mae Garren.
She served in active duty in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic control tower operator from 1945 to 1946.
She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied science (Class of 1944) and from the Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) with a Bachelor of Science in Education (Class of 1949).

Thomas Edward Forner

Thomas Edward Forner, 54, of Benton passed away Nov. 17, 2014. He was born May 12, 1960, to Leonard and Nonojean Gilbert Forner of Aurora, Ill. 
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. He loved to volunteer, especially for his church where he was a lighting and sound technician. He served as president of Benton Band Booster Club for seven years.
Thomas was a loyal husband and family man. He had a strong connection with his work family. Thomas loved and adored his children who were his life and world.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leonard George Forner III.

Curtiss Lee Steven

Curtiss Lee Steven, 58, of Benton passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2014.  He was born May 23, 1956 to Robert and Beverly Daniels Steven. 
He is survived by sons Christopher Steven of Benton, Keith Steven and Kameren Steven of St. Cloud, Minn.; a stepson, Jeffrey Cirigliano of Benton; three daughters, Debra Womack Steven of Benton, Jennifer Steven and Kealsie Steven of St. Cloud, Minn.' and six grandchildren.
A memorial service conducted by the family is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Old Union Baptist Church.
Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home.

Charlotte McNair Efird

Charlotte McNair Efird, 41, of Glen Rose passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Hot Spring County. She was born in Marianna on May 1, 1973m the daughter of Charles Cecil and Patsy Free McNair.
She was a 1992 graduate of Bryant High School and a homemaker.
Charlotte was a member of Avilla Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, best friend and had a heart of gold. 
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Pearl Free and Jessimane McNair and grandfather, Homer Banks.

Billy Ray Alder

Billy Ray Alder, 86, of Benton died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, surrounded by his family.  He was born March 31, 1928 in Benton to the late Roy Thomas Alder and Ethel Sarah Alder.  He served in the U.S. Army as a private technician from 1946-1948 and later retired from Reynolds Metals. Mr. Alder was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn.

Sybol Audrey Cain Carter

Sybol Audrey Cain Carter of Benton died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, in Benton. She was 93. She was born to the late Willie Ira and Mamie Cain in Lonsdale. Sybol and her husband David owned and operated the Western Auto store in Benton for 45 years. She was a member of many local service organizations for Benton, as well as Saline County, and she and David were lifetime members of the First United Methodist Church in Benton.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, David Walton Carter, and one sister, Phyllis Anne Green.  

Randy Joe Stewart

Randy Joe Stewart, 57, of Traskwood died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014.  He was born March 5, 1957, in Freeport, Texas, to the late Joe Louis Stewart and Mildred Lenclos Stewart. He was an ironworker and a member of Union Local 321. 
In addition to his father, a sister, Teresa Stewart, preceded him in death.

Peggy Jean Carter

Peggy Jean Carter, 89, of Benton, passed away Nov. 17, 2014. She was born April 30, 1925 in Benton to the late David and Myrtle Rupp Carter. 
Peggy was a hard worker all of her life, holding down two jobs many times.  She worked in the parts department of several car dealerships and sold tickets at the Big 4 Drive-in Theater. Peggy also worked at the Reynolds Mining Corp and retired as a sales clerk at Walmart.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, David, Dan, Bill and Ted Carter; and a sister, Dorris Carter.

George Carroll Brotherton

George Carroll Brotherton, 76, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 16, 2014.  He was born in Bauxite on Aug.13, 1938, to the late Doyle and Inez Brotherton.  George attended Bauxite High School and was a 1961 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was employed by Gulf Oil for 25 years and Chevron Oil for two years, where he was a regional manager over the state of Texas and part of Louisiana.  He retired from Citgo Petroleum.
