Charles E. Reeves Sr., 65, of Malvern passed away Monday, Jan. 28, at Hot Spring County Medical Center. He was born Oct. 14, 1947, in Malvern, the son of Clarence and Gladys Robertson Reeves.
Charles was a member and deacon at Cooper Assembly of God and co-teacher of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Razorback fan. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Reeves.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Mary Cranford Reeves, whom he married on June 5, 1971; a son, Dr. Chuck Reeves Jr. and wife Kathy of Hot Springs; a daughter, Magan Lapp and husband Keith who are missionaries in Taipei City, Taiwan; a sister, Ruby Kimbrell of Harp; grandchildren, Kailey Reeves, Molly Reeves Elliot and another expected in May; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Cooper Assembly of God with the Rev. Mark Ohms officiating. Burial will be at Big Creek Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are John Kimbrell, James Cranford, Monroe Cranford, Shane Cranford, Charlie Cranford, Kenny Cranford, Benji Cranford, and Chris Cranford. Honorary pallbearers are Tonya Kimbrell, Brenda Garner, Tammy Cloud, Atrese Cranford, Edie Kimbrell, Gary Garner, Shawn Cloud, Freda Cranford, Kayla Cranford, Daniel Felts and Tom Bynum.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Regency Funeral Home.
