Bauxite man faces 3 rape charges

A Bauxite man is scheduled to appear in Benton District Court today for a bond hearing after being arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a 16-year-old boy multiple times, authorities said.
Jonathan Solomon, 20, who is affiliated with the Army National Guard, is facing three counts of rape, three counts of sodomy and terroristic threatening. The victim reportedly told Bauxite police that the rape began when he was 15.
The victim reportedly told authorities that Solomon would come to his grandmother's home late at night while the grandmother was asleep and force him to have sex. Solomon also reportedly told the victim that he would kill him if he told anyone. The victim told authorities that he screamed for help, but his grandmother did not hear him.
Solomon was taken into custody without resistance on Monday at the Congo Road Valero gas station, authorities said. He reportedly stated that he met the victim at church and said he "was just trying to help him and give him guidance."
Solomon reportedly admitted to having sex with the victim on two separate occasions and that he knew the victim was only 15 during the first incident.
Solomon is being held in the Saline County jail.
