Bobbie Jean (McBroom) Graham

Bobbie Jean (McBroom) Graham, 82 of Benton, died Monday, June 3, 2013. Bobbie was born July 24, 1930 in Nellyville, MO to the late Jeff McBroom and Irene (Cornelius) McBroom Miller. She is also preceded in death by husband Dr. Virgil M. Graham, step-father Arthur Miller, daughter Karen Duncan, son Jeff Graham, twin sister Betty Palmer, brother Eddie McBroom and 2 grandchildren, Lori Graham and Jason Barr.

Mrs. Graham was a devoted wife and mother, with a personal faith in Jesus Christ and a member of Victory Baptist Church. She supported her husband in his ministry, and also was the featured speaker herself for many ladies’ retreats and conferences, making great use of her wry sense of humor. She is survived by children Brenda Barr (Lynn) of Eureka, IL, Patricia Payne (Scott) of Jacksonville, FL, Rev. Ken Graham (Pam) of Benton, AR, Beth Colgan (Bill) of Washington, IL, and Wanda Gibson (John) of Jerseyville, IL; siblings Lenore Welty of Granite City, IL, Gary McBroom of Cape Fair, MO, and Anita Cook of Stillwell, OK; 31 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Victory Baptist Church, 5364 Hwy. 67S, Benton, AR. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, June 7, 2013 at the church, with her son, Rev. Ken Graham officiating. Burial will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Cochran Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, MO. Memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church or Saline Memorial Hospice House.
